Travel to the city of Iasi, Romania for an international conference on travel and intercultural communication. Explore an exciting interdisciplinary topic in a welcoming intercultural environment.

As people are travelling to an unprecedented extent, we now encounter foreign cultures both home and abroad. We currently live in a global network where spatial, linguistic and cultural mobility is reshaping our identity. This international conference aims to explore mobility from an interdisciplinary perspective, addressing the role of travel and/as intercultural communication.

We welcome theoretical and applied research papers in English dealing with issues of cultural diversity, linguistic and cultural exchange engendered by travel texts and practices, with a possible focus on travel to and representations of the East, for the following conference tracks:

• Literature and language studies
• Cultural and anthropological studies
• Film and media studies
• Intercultural communication and translation studies
• Social and political studies
• Geography, history and archeology
